Greenstruct – Mechanise towards Sustainability :-
The world has been talking about Green Buildings and the same is being extensively discussed & showcased on various platforms but we as the true representative of the construction industry are looking at ways at making the construction process green and bring about a semblance of long term sustainability for our industry. We have for long ignored our construction practices and taken several issues for granted. The way the raw materials are extracted in an unscientific manner, for example our mines and quarries, our river beds etc. The way we convey products from these production points to our sites, the way we stock and handle them are way short of global standards. Our system of earth work and excavation, our concrete production system, our rebar and shuttering practices are in need for a total makeover. Hence we have named our endevour as GREENSTRUCT "MECHANISE TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY” Imagine a scenario where we have stone extracted in quarries without hazardous blasting and manual labour the product is neatly carved from the earth and processed in a totally clean enclosed environment and transported in enclosed trucks or packed into jumbo or retail packs, concretes and mortar are premixed dry and neatly packed. Our rebar processing factories producing preformed steel as per our rebar schedule. Latest excavators and piling machines silently preparing the space to receive the rebar and concrete using the latest GPS enabled survey stations for accuracy. Preformed rebar arrives on site on a custom built vehicle the same is silently placed using the site crane, shuttering is aluminium panel that can be placed with a three step operation using zero consumables, concrete that arrives from the RMC Plant is zero energy, self compacting concrete that fills the form without any external force hence making the whole operation silent. All electrical, plumbing and sanitary systems are meticulously preplanned and in place as the structure progresses. All openings have sub frames in place as the monolithic walls are poured. Rebar for the walls and the roof are coming preformed from the factory. All floors are neatly levelled as they are cast using a small power trowel ensuring that floor tiles can be laid using just cement adhesive. All the curing is achieved using curing compound applied by a battery operated power sprayer. All wet systems are discontinued and replaced by dry procedures like gypsum plasters, sprayed stuccos etc. Joinery comes fully finished from the factory to be snugly fit into the prefixed sub frames. All fittings are fixed and tested in the last 7 days to hand over. Granite for steps and other public areas also comes preformed from the factory to be silently laid on the site. The whole process runs on an integrated construction management programme to ensure that the facets of Time, Cost and Quality are maintained.
